Background to the Development
Following the unconditional purchase of the site by Danescroft Developments, permission for the Grade A office buildings, and the adjoining care home, and offices now used by Trethowans, solicitors, was granted in 2006. The office buildings have B1 Class approval.
A part of the site was pre-let to Trethowans, and the residential care home site was sold to Cannon Capital for their own occupation. The developers were backed by the renown Ray Palmer at Palmer Capital Partners, who together with David Civil coordinated the project, introducing a quality approach to the building works.
Plans submitted to Wiltshire Council involved the council’s Design Council, to ensure the site development would not only perform well but would look smart, contemporary and functional. Accordingly, the buildings were settled into the plot, roof elevations were designed to bring a cohesive appearance to the whole site, extensive use of glass has been made to the office suites, and each unit has been given generous landscaping both adjoining the main A30, and at the rear of the properties in the car parking area – where the offices have 46 parking spaces.
